23rd Malaysian Society Of Paediatric Haematology & Oncology (MASPHO) Annual Scientific Meeting
For the past three decades, bone marrow transplantation has been used as effective therapy for primary immunodeficiency and for selected inherited metabolic diseases including mucopolysaccharidoses, X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy and others. As transplantation techniques improve and new cellular therapies developed, more children are benefiting from progress in this field. Autologous stem cell transplantation is also emerging as a new modality to treat autoimmune disease. This meeting brings together local and international experts in cellular therapy, inherited metabolic disorders and immune dysfunction, to share their expertise on current and state-of-theart treatments for these complex childhood conditions.
